Last month, the girls spent 2 weeks in Texas with family after a series of impromptu road trips landed me in Texas. During my kid free time I got into the habit of exploring the Washington trails, parks and nature reserves close by us every morning. I loved it so much. It was something that I knew we would continue once our family was whole again! Not every morning since lets because lets face it, we just don’t have the free time for that kind of devotion these days. But every free rainless weekend has a date with us and nature!
Here is a peak at last weekends exploration. The rain might have canceled all my sessions but it didn’t stop us from running out during a mid day break in showers!
We hung out with some ducks, played in the fields, picked flowers at every turn and even saw a little snake!
I cant saw enough how much I love being in this state. I love it so much. I always thought that I was happy in NNY. I really did. But after getting here, settled and learning my way around, I know that I was only has happy as I could be living somewhere I hated. I am a city girl. I feel at home in traffic. I’m used to being surrounded by every kind of store you could imagine and all types of people. Except this area is different than Dallas, it is better suited for us. It seems to be handcrafted for people just like us. It is the perfect balance of city and nature. Not only can you go to Seattle and enjoy Pikes Place fresh food (which by way farm fresh goods is the key to my foody heart) but you can also go to beaches, mountains, trails through the forest, waterfalls, fields, anything your heart desires. As a bonus, I love the sound of rain and these temperatures aren’t to bad either. Oh and the chick fil a we are getting within the month and the whole foods coming in May pretty much sealed my heart away to the Seattle – Tacoma area for good. 😉
I’ve been here almost 5 months and already I could buy a house and live here forever. ❤
